Hurricane Ian was a deadly and extremely destructive Category 5 Atlantic hurricane, which was the third-costliest weather disaster on record, the deadliest hurricane to strike the state of Florida since the 1935 Labor Day .

Some History
The Founding of the First
In 1961 a few ladies from this area attended the hobby club at Matlacha, then decided we should have our own club for this area. In Jan 1962 the first meeting was held in the home of Marie Gardner with 12 ladies present.
